AGLOW HAS A HUGE STAKE IN THE WORLDEnlarge the place of your tent…lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes!

That was a statement Graham Cooke made this past week as several of us sat around the conference table with him. I asked him to enlarge on that thought. This is what he said.

“Aglow has a history with God that is unusual. Aglow is in 170 nations and has earned a level of trust with God. You have earned the right to be here. You have planted things out of nothing. Aglow is a stand-alone group and you have done it the hard way. You have pioneered things. You know how to pray. You know how to battle. You have been around 48 years and you are still here. You have evolved over 48 years and you have prevailed. You have a BIG stake in the Kingdom and are massively trusted. God knows what He has and what He can trust.”

PROMISES AND PROPHETIC WORDS

A stake is something in the ground that marks out territory and boundaries. A stake also asserts the right to something. God has spoken to Aglow throughout our 48 year history and has repeatedly encouraged us to be bold, to plant our feet, to take territory for His Kingdom. He has spoken promises and prophetic words to us that have continually shown us our future. It was history speaking in advance. We have responded with an affirmative voice, followed by action. As you have heard me say in previous blogs, the long reach of Aglow has probably touched more nations and more people’s lives than we will ever know.

Promises and prophetic words are designed to possess us for the purpose of God. Some prophetic words are so big it is hard to live with them. They overwhelm us. The implications are massive. They open up such a huge space around us that we feel small and insignificant inside it. We realize that we have just discovered our growing room. God has spoken and we must grow to fit what He has seen in us. Before prophecy can be fulfilled in its entirety it must live in our hearts because it concerns identity and destiny. We need to interact with the promise in our inner man and we need to learn how to live with it. We possess everything through Majesty. After prophecy comes the process of development.

Since the prophetic shift that came in 2003, Aglow has received many significant and intentional words. Then when the prophetic word spoken in 2008 through Graham Cook came, it felt as though a door was blown wide open. “You have an open Heaven. You have an open Heaven. You have an open Heaven.” The word was repeated over and over again.

We caught the fresh wind of the Spirit, the wind of His moving mightily in our midst, speaking to us of our future and we continued moving out with great intentionality in prayer, in the nations, in growth.

2013 CONFERENCE

Then again, additional words of encouragement were spoken at the U.S. National Conference in 2013. “I have marked out the places, says the Lord, where I will give you specific authority to overcome as you learn the secrets of Majesty. I have territory that belongs to you. You must possess your possessions. You must become a people of promise. You must be a stakeholder in the Kingdom.

“Do not only seek territory, but know how to occupy territory. Walking in the Spirit is about acknowledging that every place we take belongs to us for the time we are present.

“Step into the place of fullness. My will is to promote you. Many things will come against you, but My smile is over you.

“In no way be daunted by the enemy. Look unto Me and your own face will become radiant.

“I release you from sacrifice.

“I release you into abundance.

“I release you into favor.

“I release you into fullness.

“This is the time of your arising and I call you to rise up, level, after level, after level.”

In closing, I share a scripture that has been a personal encouragement to me many times.

Even though it was a word given to the Israelites in a time of barrenness, nevertheless, it speaks of ongoing growth, life, and the favor of God. It was a prophetic word yet to be fulfilled, and it also showed the intentionality of God to bless His people that they might rise.

Enlarge the place of your tent,

And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;

Do not spare;

Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes

For you shall expand to the right and to the left,

And your descendants will inherit the nations,

And make the desolate cities inhabited. Isaiah 54:2

God is speaking to Aglow that we are to enlarge the place of our tent, stretch out the place of our dwellings, do not spare, but lengthen our cords, and strengthen our stakes!

We have a stake in the world that is greater than you might be aware of.

You have faithfully sown into Aglow, your life, your finances, your prayers, your faith in God. It is time to reap of all that has been done.

It is time for a world-beating, supernatural power to rise up in the earth.

Rule and reign in the name of Jesus and displace the enemy in your locality.

We are going to walk this earth with our hearts and our minds bound to Heaven and everywhere we go, everywhere the sole of our foot treads, we are going to bring down Heaven in that place and displace hell in that place. And we are going to do it in Jesus name and for His sake.
