The Waynesboro Lighthouse gathers together for dinner and an uplifting message the third Monday of each month at the Mountain Gate Restaurant in Waynesboro, PA.
Eileen Flenner, the President, also serves as the Love Your Neighbor Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Aglow and is always thinking of new ways to impact the community.
In addition to donating needed supplies to the area food bank this past year, they also hosted a “Christmas in July” outreach to men and women at the local homeless shelter. They recently held their annual Easter Egg Hunt in the park with lots of food, games and a clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus. They were able to donate two bicycles – one for a boy and one for a girl – during their day together at Hawbaker Park.
